Vision and Purpose

Our Goal: 

To protect the Speed River Valley Lands as a cultural heritage landscape and associated greenspace for ours and for future generations.

Objectives:

  1. To raise public awareness of, and support for, the conservation, protection and enhancement of the special character of the Speed River Valley Lands.
  2. To recognize the heritage significance of the single lane Niska Road Bailey Bridge and its abutments as a highlight of the valley lands.
  3. To work proactively and in collaboration with the public, the City of Guelph, the Kortright Hills neighbourhood and the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) to develop a management plan for the Speed River Valley Lands.
